Brittany & Jim got married on possibly the hottest day this summer. Honestly. Looking back on the beautiful day... that is the thing that stands out the most in my mind. It was SO HOT!
(I am going to blame the fact that I am 8+ months pregnant.)

It was 110 degrees out at the beautiful Bridgeview Vineyards in Cave Junction, where they had their ceremony. 110 degrees is just too hot in my opinion... add a twenty pound dress and the fact that they don’t offer any air-conditioning in most of the venue. Poor Brittany was overheating... and believe me... I can sympathize.

Even in spite of the heat, Brittany was stunning. The whole wedding was perfect & I can tell that Brittany & Jim are going to live happily-ever-after. My favorite thing... their engagement pictures on display at the reception! : ) Makes me so proud.

The photo booth was a fun touch too... The guests were having a great time! *I know, leave it to me to make pictures my favorite thing about a wedding! : ) Thank you both for letting us be a part of your special day.

Cara & Davey are amazing. I’m not just saying that... you can tell that everyone adores them. That’s just the kind of people they are. Within minutes of meeting them you feel like a friend and you can’t help but wish the best for them.

They got married at a private vineyard outside of Rogue River on July 3rd. Their wedding was such a beautiful celebration of love, family and everything that this gorgeous couple represents!

Every detail was flawless... the flowers, the colors... and of course the bride.

Cara & Davey... Thank you. We both had so much fun sharing in your special day. *The guys might of had a little too much fun... Haha.

Heather & Cory

Maybe it is the pregnancy hormones... but lately I have been feeling so blessed. So blessed that I got to marry my best friend... So blessed that I have a baby girl kicking around inside my belly & so very blessed that I get to do what I love.

Over the course of this last year I have met some amazing couples & had the honor of sharing with them one of the most important days of their lives. All the emotion and excitement... I love every second of it.

Heather & Cory were married at a beautiful private estate on June 26th. Everything was perfect & Heather made such a gorgeous bride. You could tell that everyone at the wedding had a great time... and the bride & groom are so in love.

Mr. & Mrs. Miller... Thank you for letting us capture your special day. It was beautiful.

Racheal & Andrew

The thing I love most about shooting weddings is the excitement and emotion of the special day... and there was no shortage of emotion at Racheal & Andrew’s wedding a few weeks ago.

They are adorable, so obviously in love and both have amazing families who were always on hand to make sure that everything went off without a hitch. I was truly thankful that even though their wedding was to take place outdoors nobody’s spirits seemed dampened by the onset of rain that day. Racheal just kept smiling & saying “rain on your wedding day is supposed to be lucky...”

And lucky they were... we had enough time to sneak off and take some beautiful bridal portraits & the sun came out just in time for dancing!

Racheal & Andrew thank you so much for letting me be a part of your special day. I am so happy for you both... Your pictures are beautiful.

When I walk away from a successful photo shoot with a huge smile stretched across my face, I can’t tell you how lucky I feel to be able to do what I love. I get to work with such amazing people. Brittany & Jim are some of those people. I had so much fun shooting their engagement pictures a few weeks ago.

They are both so sweet, funny & easy to be around... it felt like hanging out with a couple friends! I even ended up losing track of time & showing up 30 minutes late to my family barbeque because we were so caught up in conversation after we were done shooting!

I can’t tell you how excited I am to be able to share their wedding day with them in July. I know the whole thing is going to be beautiful... just because I can tell that they really deserve it.

Brittany & Jim... I hope you love your pictures!! You two are adorable & it has been so much fun getting to know you both! Thank you for letting me capture this special time in your life!

Sadie & Kyle

If it seems as if it has been a long time between blog entries... that’s because it has. Life has been hectic. I have had the chance to shoot some amazing people in these last few weeks, Sadie & Kyle included.

However my mac has been mad at me. I’m not sure what I did to upset her... but I hope that I don’t do it again with the busy wedding season upon me. A week in the repair shop for my precious computer was not on my schedule... but it was out of my hands! Now we are back in business & I am playing a little game of catch up!

Sadie & Kyle I had so much fun shooting your engagement pictures. You are such a beautiful couple... and so in love. It is so obvious to me that you are absolutely crazy about each other. You are adorable.

I am sorry for the extended wait on your pictures...but I think they were worth the wait! : )

Madison Grace

Yesterday was beautiful. It seems as if spring is finally here... and just in time. I had a sick couple call and reschedule earlier in the day (my first ever) so I got to take my camera out & shoot just because.

I can’t tell you how long it has been since I shot purely for the enjoyment of it. I can’t tell you how liberating it was to go out and have absolutely no expectations. I left feeling revived. It was a blast. Im sure it helped that I got to spend some much needed time with one of my best friends and her amazing little girl Madison.

The pictures are adorable... but I wouldn’t expect anything less. This girl means more to me than words could ever say. She is so sweet and fun to be with... you can’t help but smile. She is truly a joy to be around... and a beautiful subject to photograph. Great... I’m crying again.

I’m not sure how I skipped blogging this Engagement shoot! I was just cleaning old files off my computer to make some space for all the latest shoots... and I found these. Unpublished. Shame on me.

I always try to blog all of my shoots. Share a little bit of my experiences. This shoot was especially fun. Sarah & Matthew were a change of pace to say the least. They are to date, the most adventurous couple I have ever shot. I was doing my very best to keep up with them at Lithia Park.

I actually fell. I mean really fell. Skinned my knee & everything. It was a life lesson... and now I don’t walk and shoot pictures at the same time. : ) Sarah & Matthew are getting married this June at Callahan’s Lodge & I can’t wait to shoot their wedding. Who knows what they will have in store for me next time!

Since the moment I met Jessica & Andrew at the wedding fair earlier this year I have been thinking about how amazing their pictures are going to be. They are both cute, friendly & have an easy-going down to earth country style!

We met up in Jacksonville to shoot some engagement pictures & the day couldn’t of been more perfect!! The pictures are of course beautiful! I had quite a lot to choose from... these few are my favorites!

Jessica & Andrew... I had so much fun spending the afternoon with you! All of your pictures are adorable. I hope that you love them as much as I do! I can’t wait to shoot your wedding this September!

Jackie & Jason

Two weeks ago I got the chance to meet up with Jackie & Jason to shoot some amazing engagement pictures.

I know it doesn’t usually take me two whole weeks to get an engagement blog up... but things have been more than a little chaotic in my life & apparently my computer felt the same way. : )

Everything is up and running again
(thank god!) and I finally have a chance to share this wonderful couple with you.

Jackie & Jason are awesome. I don’t know how else to say it. They are so cute together... and they both are so fun to be around. I had an amazing time hanging out with them in the park... I can’t even imagine how spectacular their wedding is going to be this August! : )
